The best way to travel outside home without leaving home is Reading. Books let you travel without moving your feet (-Jhumpa Lahiri)
How long should you read ?
Read as much as you can. But make sure you read minimum 20 minutes a day.
You can use Raz Kids and Read Theory ( code will be sent) for reading online.
Keep record of your reading-
Reading Log:
Every day after 20 minutes reading insert your input to Home Reading Log.
You may print out reading log and keep record
or
You can produce a copy of google doc reading log shared with you and keep record online to share with me. Please make sure you do not edit on the original.
Daily Word:
Select at least one difficult/ new word you learned . Keep record in Daily Word log and draw a picture of the word.

2. You can use google docs/ google presentations and share with me.
3. You can work on your own computer file and attach the file to email.

When to submit homework /assignments?
Homework will be due on a weekly basis. Please submit your work(s) on the following Tuesday before 1 pm.
Online Meetings Expectations
Reminders for Students
- Establish a balanced daily routine of learning, play and worship.
- Always use your device in an open space in your home, not your bedroom.
- During online meetings, please find a place in your home where you can sit with a wall behind you. You cannot be sitting in your bedroom for online meetings.
- Students must always be dressed appropriately in modest clothing. Girls in grade 4 and older must wear their hijabs and boys are to dress neatly and respectfully. Students are not to be in their pyjamas during learning times.
- Check your school email messages and your Google Classroom(s) frequently.
- Follow along with the weekly plans and any deadlines
- Take breaks, play, rest, and be active.
- Always be respectful to your teachers, peers and everyone you interact with. Maintain the highest standard of etiquette in everything you do and say.
- Help your children develop balanced daily routines
- Set up a learning area for your children to be able to work independently.
- Encourage your children to take study breaks and to take part in physical activities. Send them outside for fresh air.
- Be mindful of your children’s well being
