Home Reading and Home work
Dear Parents,
As-salamu ‘Alaykum,
I, Mrs. Fatima, your child’s class teacher this year, would like to take this opportunity to share reading and homework expectations for this year.
Grade 2 Home Reading Program:
Reading is the key to success and it is very important that students read at home every day. Please encourage your child to read at home every day at least 15 minutes and record that on home reading log.
Commencing Monday, September 11th, students will read at least one book every night. Children should be reading for at least 15 minutes each night. I ask that you participate in this reading experience with your child. Your role will be to go through the book with your child using the reading/comprehension strategies that I have listed.

Star Reader’s Book Report:
Students will be sent a reading log to keep track of their reading. Every Friday they need to bring the log and Star Reader’s Book Report to share with the class.
Homework:
Unfinished classwork will automatic be a homework.
Every Monday (in case of holiday, next school day) home works will be sent home and would be due on next Monday (in case of holiday, next school day).
If you have any question or comment please feel free to email me at [email protected] . Thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Ms. K. Fatima
